After graduating in Latin and Ancient Greek at the University of Amsterdam Tessa moved to Rome in 2008. She works for the Royal Dutch Institute in Rome as secretary and social media manager and as tutor in Latin at the Roman study center of the University of California.
Inspired by her experiences as a foreign classicist in Rome, she started giving lectures about modern daily life in Rome. So far, she got two books published: ‘Laat je krekels maar krieken – Het Colosseum voorbij’ (2013), a non-fictional story about life in Rome, and ‘100% Rome’, a guide book in six walks (2015).
