We are pleased to announce that the next NRBC evening in Rome will be held with as speaker the Dutch Ambassador to the Italian Republic, his Excellency Joep Wijnands.

During this evening, which will be held on 5 July 2016, Ambassador Wijnands will look back at the first semester of 2016, during which The Netherlands was the EU Presidency holder.

The Netherlands’ EU Presidency 2016 website shows our country’s guiding principles for this task, namely that EU should be a Union that focuses on the essentials, on growth and jobs through innovation and that connects with civil society. In addition, it mentions that as President, The Netherlands will be aiming at four priority areas: Migration & international security; Europe as an innovator & job creator; Sound finances and a robust Eurozone; and forward-looking climate & energy policy.
Ambassador Wijnands will describe which activities our country and the Dutch Embassy in Rome performed to make progress in relation to the mentioned priority area’s and what Slovakia needs to do in order to continue the improvements obtained by The Netherlands.

However, only NRBC members who have paid their annual Euro 35 administrative fee (which covers, inter alia, the maintenance of the website, the bank account costs and the presents for the speakers) are allowed to attend. If you have not yet paid such contribution, please wire the amount to:

Do you work in your outfit, or does your outfit work for you?
Research proves that clothing has an effect on the psychological mindset. Someone who is formally dressed, feels more competent, creative and rational than his colleagues in casual outfits.
During this lecture you will learn how you can make your identity and qualities visible in your clothing.
How would it be if your clothes and image express who you truly are?

After the presentations there was time to personally talk with them enjoying a rich Italian Apericena.

After a nice vacation we are ready for a new season full of new and interesting activities!

As kick off, we started with a workshop on social media, and in particular onLinkedIn for entrepreneurs. This course, which was given by Vincent Wiegers, a consultant of Het Business Collectief, was very practical and tailored to our request. In fact, Vincent wished to receive the names of the participants beforehand in order to be able to comment upon each member’s profile during the course.

During the course, Vincent explained us:
1.    How to improve our profiles (inter alia by adding sheets, power point          presentations and images)
2.    How to perform an advanced search on profiles
3.    To find the groups we are aiming at
4.    How to become part of a groups
5.    How to advertise on LinkedIn

We all brought our tablet or laptop with us, as Vincent worked directly with us on our social media profiles. During the workshop we enjoyed a delicious AperiCena.
