NRBC Evening Rome 5 July 2016

We are pleased to announce that the next NRBC evening in Rome will be held with as speaker the Dutch Ambassador to the Italian Republic, his Excellency Joep Wijnands.

During this evening, which will be held on 5 July 2016, Ambassador Wijnands will look back at the first semester of 2016, during which The Netherlands was the EU Presidency holder.

The Netherlands’ EU Presidency 2016 website shows our country’s guiding principles for this task, namely that EU should be a Union that focuses on the essentials, on growth and jobs through innovation and that connects with civil society. In addition, it mentions that as President, The Netherlands will be aiming at four priority areas: Migration & international security; Europe as an innovator & job creator; Sound finances and a robust Eurozone; and forward-looking climate & energy policy.
Ambassador Wijnands will describe which activities our country and the Dutch Embassy in Rome performed to make progress in relation to the mentioned priority area’s and what Slovakia needs to do in order to continue the improvements obtained by The Netherlands.

However, only NRBC members who have paid their annual Euro 35 administrative fee (which covers, inter alia, the maintenance of the website, the bank account costs and the presents for the speakers) are allowed to attend. If you have not yet paid such contribution, please wire the amount to:
